With the UKEL Season 4 drawing ever closer, Viperio are working hard to prepare for the split. While we wait for the start of the season, take a look at these predictions from Viperio Managing Director Christopher Sword.

1. Mythos will finish mid table, with a 3W-4L record.

In all three seasons of the UKEL (Summer 2019, Spring 2020, Summer 2020), Mythos Gaming have finished regular season with a record of 3 wins, 4 losses. While Mythos haven’t shown themselves as a top contender, they are consistent and have held their place in the UKEL.

Viperio currently have a 2W-1L record against Mythos in the UKEL. It will be interesting to see if Mythos can equalise in Spring.

2. Newcomer Demise Academy will cause some upset.

After qualifying through the open qualifier at the end of the Summer split, Demise Academy secured a spot in the UKEL Season 4 for the first time. This is also the first time an academy roster will compete in the UKEL.

Demise Academy have the resources of a UKLC team in addition to their UKEL support staff. Being able to regularly practice against a stronger opponent, and being able to consult with an expanded support structure will allow this roster to develop.

3. LDN UTD, NerdRage, Bulldog & Viperio are strong candidates for the top 4.

With 2 of the names here, LDN UTD & NerdRage, only joining the UKEL last season (S3), there is limited information to see how the organisations will perform across multiple splits, however both showed very strong performances in their debut season. LDN UTD will likely keep the core of their roster from last season, and NerdRage will likely build a strong roster after just missing out on a UKLC promotion.

Bulldog, while recently relegated from the UKLC, are an organisation with a rich history in League of Legends. They have performed consistently well in the UKEL, and will look to reclaim their spot in the UKLC once again. Entering their 4th season of the UKEL, Viperio have seen the highs and lows of this division, so know what it takes to be a top contender. Under Alan Reid’s leadership, the roster will likely be build in a similar fashion to last season, which was known to cause upsets in times when it matters most.
