After recently securing their 4th win in ESEA Main S35, we spoke with AWPer 🇸🇪 Jimmy “Ariant0” Husseini about the victory, and the remainder of the season.
As ESEA Main Season 35 (EU) enters its final stages, Viperio are in a current position of 4W-8L, with victories against FALKN, FURY Global, FRIENDS & ex-Eruption. As of October 14th, Viperio sit in 79th place (out of 90).
We asked 🇸🇪 Jimmy “Ariant0” Husseini to talk about his most recent win against ex-Eruption:
“It was a pretty easy game in the beginning, as we had a dominant first half. We threw a little bit in the end, however we won in the end, so a happy result.”
The series was the second time the roster had used 🇬🇧 Carl ‘BARTER‘ Harrington since the recent departure of LJM. The team now has a 50% (1W-1L) since the stand-in began playing with the team.
When asked about playing with BARTER, Jimmy stated:
“I think we’re fine playing with BARTER for now as we have played with him in the past. He has an understanding of how we are playing so thats nice”
“On the topic of a permanent replacement, I have no update at the moment, but we are actively looking around.”
The current season record of 4W-8L is not what the team hoped for going into Season 35. When asked about needed changes to improve consistancy, Jimmy stated:
“We need a permanent fifth with the right mindset when it comes to practicing. We are a team that needs a lot of time on the server, more than average.”
“Hopefully we get a a solid player for next season that also believes in the importance about putting the hours in.”
With the season nearing an end, there is little room for error. WHen asked about the possibility of relegation, Jimmy commented:
“After looking at upcoming opponents, I don’t think it will be hard to avoid relegation. One of the teams we are playing are dissolved, so that’s a guaranteed free win.”
“We need to win 1 game out of 3, which I think should be achievable, but obviously anything can happen on the day.”
