Cristoffer ‘Rengus’ Augustson is the current captain of Viperio’s Fortnite (PC) division. He is 19 years old and lives in Stord, a small island in Norway. We decided to interview Cristoffer to find out his opinions about fortnite and the current performance of his team.

With little to no tournaments at this point in time, how does your team continue to improve and develop as a squad?
“At this point we’re focusing on improving our in-game communication. We also need to work on how we are playing as one and as four. We’re playing lots of solos and solo squad to learn how we need to play different kind of scenarios, like when are in a 1vs2 etc. Our main goal at the moment is to continue to improve as a squad, and the best way to do so is just grind the game and learn as we go.”
With all players (including sub) living within close proximity of eachother, what benefits does this bring to the team?
“I think its perfect. It’s really easy to bootcamp. Everyone on the team is friends out of game, and I think that’s one of the main things that make our team such a nice squad to play in.”
Do you feel there could be any changes made to Fortnite which would make it more esports focused?
“I really dont know. I dont think that they are gonna change the game as the majority of players are just playing for fun. It is already a very competitive game, and I think tournaments will be very popular when they are created. Overall, I just seel lots of potential in Fortnite.”
Who do you feel is best on the team, and why?
“Nøtti is by far the best player in the squad. He’s insane when it comes to Fortnite. I really enjoy playing with him and learning from him!”
