We recently welcomed Connor ‘Boony’ Boon under Viperio as a SFV Player. We spoke to Connor to learn more about how he felt joining an esports team.

For those that do not know you, tell us a little about yourself?
“I’m currently an engineering student at Teesside University, going into my 3rd year in September. Outside of my studies, I’m also a bassist. I love gigging and performing. I play Street Fighter V competitively, with the goal of getting better and better by entering tournaments online and going to offline events whenever I can. Like any young adult, I love going socialising with friends, enjoying drinks and music.”

How do you feel about joining Viperio as our debut SFV player?
“I was honoured to receive an offer to join Viperio. Honestly, I was super surprised when I was chosen as I didn’t expect it! It felt really good to join a local brand and be apart of something. I hope I can help bring SFV into the life of gamers not interested in fighting games, helping them see the light of how fun they can be.”

Why do you compete in SFV?
“I love the competition circuit of SFV and I’ve been passionate about the Street Fighter brand for a good few years now. I love competing, especially the social aspect of tournament’s as you get to meet lots of familiar faces alongside new people.”

What are you most looking forward to in esports in the near future?
“I’m looking forward to more people finding Interest with fighting games, I’m hoping more people can discover and enjoy the scene. Im also looking forward to SF6, as that is rumoured to be out in the next few years!”
