Over the last couple of months, Viperio’s competitive activity has seen a significant drop since the departure of our former Counter-Strike roster in summer 2023. This has further been impacted by the lack of league competitions in Rainbow Six: Siege esports, beyond the recent off-season events. As a result, our content output and communication with followers has reduced in frequency. We’re keen to address this and are looking to ensure that the frequency of content is not affected by downtime in competitive calendars.

While competitive results may have temporarily disappeared, Viperio has continued its success outside of the server. Most recently in September, Viperio was selected as winner of Creative UK’s North East Investment Summit, securing up to £100,000 in equity investment for Viperio as part of a wider investment raise. A panel of investor representative singled out Viperio for “a compelling pitch backed up by tangible results and entrepreneurial potential” while also praising Viperio for “their creativity and innovation”.

As Viperio prepares to complete it’s first investment round, time and resources have been prioritised on tasks related to this complex process. While this has a short term effect on our return to competitive activity, this is a necessary step in order to ensure long-term success. Wider interest in the opportunity to invest in Viperio is growing, showing a strong sign of confidence in the future of us as a major player in UK esports.

Viperio remains committed to UK esports and Counter-Strike in particular. The company is ambitious and eager to get going, with plans to return to competitive CS2 before the end of 2023, so that it can start 2024 with a strong team and a clear vision for the future.

On behalf of Viperio, I thank our fans for their continued support during this time. The leadership team here understands that the lack of competitive activity may be frustrating for fans, but Viperio is grateful for the patience and understanding fans have shown. Viperio will continue to provide updates on its progress, and it will share its plans for the future as soon as they are finalised.
