Statement by Christopher Sword, Founder & Managing Director of Viperio:
After another 3 months of competition, our season finally comes to a close. On Saturday 3rd April, Viperio fell to Bulldog Esports 1-3 in the UKLC Qualifier. This result meant that once again, Viperio have narrowly missed out on promotion into the UKLC, and will subsequently compete in the UKEL for another season. I’d be lying if there wasn’t a slight sense of disappointment after falling short at the final hurdle.
Despite Viperio not promoting, this season stands out as one of our best to date. The most notable factor for me has been the individuals involved. This season saw Viperio field not only one of our most competitive rosters on the server, but also one of the most impressive staff rosters in the UK. The whole division pulled its weight, investing hours into ensuring the best chances of success. All of this was done with zero budget available, which is amazing to think about when other teams in the league have private investment allowing them to invest heavily and operate at a loss. I’m eternally grateful for all those involved for volunteering their time to be a part of our project.
I would like to wish a personal thank you to the following individuals for their contributions this split:

General Manager: 🇬🇧 Alan Reid
Head Coach: 🇬🇧 Dan Holt
Draft & Assistant Coach: 🇬🇧 Harry Sandford

I would also like to give a special shoutout to Brodie Mulvaney, Luke McCabe, Conor Rabbett & Just Content Studios for their media and content support this season.
I believe that the future of Viperio League of Legends looks promising. Our organisation stands out as one of the best brands to represent at this tier. Entering our 5th season in the league, with consistent podium finishes, we’re confident we’ll be able to once again challenge for a promotion. I look forward to a short break over the next few weeks, before ramping up out efforts in the off season in preparation for June.
