Viperio 86 continue a dominant run of form in the Rainbow Six Siege Northern Premier League (NPL) with a convincing 7-2 win versus RCTIC on game day #5.

While always regarded as one of the teams contending for one of the two qualification spots for the European Challenger League 2022, a loss to Victus on game day #3 put doubts in the minds of some. However as stated by R6S commentator DemoCasts, victories versus NAVI and RCTIC have proven Viperio 86 were always a team to be reckoned with:

“For Viperio 86, we were questioning them against Victus… but the way they came out against NAVI was big, a great way to respond.”

Demo further added: “Viperio 86 looked the better side throughout the game versus RCTIC. They just had the better players, the better gun-skill. As soon as they got past those first 3 rounds, they knew themselves this game was theirs.

In yesterday’s winners interview, Coach & Analyst Joseph “Px7” Bouton commented on the teams’ victory, believing that there was a universal expectation Viperio 86 should beat RCTIC:

“We were expected to win against RCTIC. We did it, it was convincing, thats it.”

With RCTIC’s record of 1W-3L ahead of the series, and Viperio’s 3W-1L record coming off a victory versus NAVI, all casters and analysts for game day #5 predicted a Viperio 86 win.

Px7 believed that yesterday’s win was primarily due to skill difference between the two rosters:

“I think we [Viperio 86] are the better team as of now because of skill diff. What really gave us the better hand was they [RCTIC] were really slow on attack. We didn’t really have to do anything but wait and burn a lot of time.”

With another fixture this evening versus current last place team Riddle, Viperio 86 are feeling confident that another win is on the cards. When asked about whether there were any teams which Px7 was worried to play, he answered:

“We not weary about facing anyone. We can beat anyone in the league. We can go head to head especially in a BO1 format. It’s about showing up when it matters. We’re a really good team, but we don’t always show up.”

Px7 further added that Viperio 86 were “sometimes out own worst enemy. If we get into the good mindset, we can take on anyone.

Viperio 86 play Riddle tonight at 10pm BST (11pm CEST). The series will be streamed on the official NPL Twitch channel. Details can be found here.
