Newcastle, 18th April 2023 – Viperio, the North East of England’s leading esports club, announce the signing of Kirk “Tadpole” Stephens as the newest player to join Viperio CS:GO. Javier “Ping” Griffiths will move from the substitute position to the Viperio CS:GO starting line-up to complete our roster of five.
The additions of Tadpole & Ping comes following the departures of MMS & Gizmy. The changes are also made ahead of the first ESL Premiership season of 2023, as well as various Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) events occurring over May, June and July.
Both Tadpole & Ping have played with the core of the Viperio CS:GO roster previously, with Tadpole winning the UKIC Invitational Summer 2022 when the team represented EKO, and Ping was part of the original Viperio CS:GO roster announced back in October 2022.
Kirk expressed an excitement returning to former teammates: “I am truly grateful to my teammates for giving me this opportunity to demonstrate my full potential as a player. I am thrilled to be working with my ex-teammates once again, and I am confident that, with time and dedication, we will achieve even greater things. I am committed to making sure that’ll happen.”
Tadpole & Ping will both play in Viperio’s upcoming CCT Central Europe fixture versus Copenhagen Flames later today.
