After a day of battling the best teams from across the United Kingdom and Ireland, Viperio narrowly miss out on a place in RES: Western EU Masters, after falling to Team Endpoint 2-1 in the grand final.

Viperio started their run with a bye in round one to move straight on to face The Cuddlers in round two. Viperio made quick work of the unknown side 13-6 to progress to the quarter-finals.

Viperio’s earlier dominance continued into the quarterfinals, where they defeated Coalesce 13-0. They then moved on to the semifinals where they defeated current UKIC champions 13-5.

In the grand finals, Viperio took an early lead, with a 13-6 victory on Anubis, however Endpoint’s experience came through to take back map two in flawless fashion, before ultimately taking map three 13-6 to win the series.

Overall, Viperio had a strong run in the tournament, making it all the way to the grand finals. Although they were defeated by Endpoint, they still had a very impressive performance against some of the UK’s best known rosters.

Christopher Sword, Founder & Managing Director, commented:

We saw a really strong Viperio side today. While missing out on a place in RES WEU Masters is unfortunate, today's performance will definitely boost morale going into league competitions across February. Things look good as we strive to climb our way back into ESEA Advanced and back into the HLTV top 100.
