As part of Viperio’s signing of the ex-Raptors Counter-Strike team, Viperio welcomed Bulgarian player 🇧🇬 Slaven ‘AwaykeN‘ Lyubenov as part of our core roster. After receiving interest from Team 7AM, AwaykeN was subequently transferred following an agreement between Viperio and Team 7AM.
One of UK Counter-Strike’s hottest AWPers, 🇧🇬 Slaven ‘AwaykeN’ Lyubenov was an exciting prospect for Viperio when the organisation was looking for a new line-up to enter CS2 and 2024. The UK Premiership winning ex-raptors ticked all the boxes Viperio was looking for ahead of the new year.
After signing the core of 4 players and coach (MMS, Zodi, ReegaN, AwaykeN and papp), Viperio was set to re-enter UKCS with the UKIC LAN finals our debut event in CS2.
Ahead of the UKIC Lan Finals, it was made clear to Viperio that Team 7AM were looking to replace a player ahead of their Serbian bootcamp. Although AwaykeN was under contract with Viperio, he informed us of his intent to join Team 7AM after they expressed interest in him as their 5th player. After brief discussions between Viperio & Team 7AM, all parties came to an agreement to allow AwaykeN to transfer to their roster with immediate effect.
Co-owner and Commercial Director Brodie Mulvaney commented on the transfer:
”"It's unfortunate that we never got to see AwaykeN compete in Viperio colours, although I'm glad he seems to have settled into his new home. Not long after of signing his contract, Slaven made it clear that he wanted to join 7AM. As he had a contract in place with Viperio, we worked closely with John and were able to swiftly come to an agreement where all parties were satisfied - resulting in a smooth and easy player transfer."
