Viperio are pleased to announce that we have resigned Bulgarian national and British resident 🇧🇬 Slaven “AwaykeN” Lyubenov, who is to replace Kim “mAnGo” Larsen with immediate effect.

Viperio first signed Slaven in December 2023, although Slaven ended up being transferred to Team 7AM in record time.

Slaven now re-joins Viperio for the remainder of 2024 where he looks to replicate the previous successes he had with his previous teammates, Daniel “Papp” Hart and Rasmus “zodi” Frølich, who he won ESL Premiership Autumn 2023 vs Endpoint alongside.

We asked Slaven how it feels to “re-join” Viperio, and what his expectations are with this new roster:

“It feels good to play under a UK organisation again, now I can finally play for Viperio. My expectations are to improve constantly, to play more HLTV matches, and to really prove ourselves across Tier 2 and 3.”

Slaven also added that, “the roster feels fresh, playing with Zodi and Papp again is great, I’ve known them for a long time. It is also good to play with Skrimo, he is a great player. The Swedish duo I do not know much about, but from what I have seen, they look like solid prodigies!”.

With the signing of Awayken, we see the departure of Danish AWPer Kim “mAnGo” Larsen.

Kim first joined Viperio in December 2023 and has shown significant growth as a player since joining.  Kim and Viperio were unable to come to an agreement on a contract extension, which resulted in Viperio needing to find a replacement. This means that the upcoming ESEA Play Offs will be Kim’s last event with the roster, where he will then become a free agent. Viperio are confident that Kim will succeed in his next endeavours and thank him for his time in red and black.

We spoke to Team Coach Daniel “Papp” Hart on his thoughts on Kim’s departure:

“I would like to put my thanks out to Kim for the time we have spent together. He is a great guy both in and out of the server, and I only with him the best in whatever he decides to do next.”

Dan then commented on the re-signing of Slaven:

“I am very excited to be welcoming Slav back into our active roster, we have achieved great things with him in the past. He is hungrier than ever, and we are ready to go on to achieve even bigger things.”
