Monday, 6th May 2024 – Viperio are pleased to announce the we have signed Swedish national Rasmus “dezt” Nyström, who joins our Counter-Strike roster effective immediately.
With the recent benching of Jan “pandi7o” Holák, Viperio has been seeking a suitable replacement to fill Jan’s shoes. Rasmus, who recently played on NAVI Junior, Kappa Bar and the Prodigies SE, joins the Viperio side with fellow Swede and previous teammate Markus “upE” Johansson.
When asking about how he feels to join Viperio, the 18 year old commented:
”“I am excited to have joined Viperio as their new rifler - it’s especially great to be reunited with my former teammate upE. I already know how good he is (upE) and I’ve liked what I have seen from the other boys as well, so I can’t wait to start the grind with them together with the backing and support of Viperio."

Rasmus also added that his goals while playing in red and black are to “keep developing as a player with the help of my teammates and our coach. With some more practice, I expect us to climb the HLTV rankings and compete for some event-wins”.
We reached out to Viperio’s Counter Strike Team Coach Daniel “Papp” Hart for comment on the recent signing:
”“I am very excited by the addition of Rasmus to our roster. He is a player I have followed for some time; he is a very young player and has all the attributes to become a great player for Viperio. He has shown great maturity and ability during his time helping as a stand in – I am very happy we can continue working together.”

We asked Dezt to reflect on his time at Viperio so far, where he said:
“We’ve already had some decent results. In the most recent CCT Play-in stage, we won our group 2-0, however, we unfortunately lost the deciding game to qualify for the main event. We also just qualified for the play-off stage in United 21 which is promising when you consider how little time we have played together as a five.”
The Viperio roster is as follows:
🇸🇪 Rasmus “dezt” Nyström
🇸🇪 Markus “upE” Johansson
🇩🇰 Rasmus “zodi” Frølich
🇩🇰 Kim “mAnGo” Larsen
🇧🇬 Dimitar “Skrimo” Yanulov
