Viperio are pleased to announce the signing of Swedish player Markus “upE” Johansson, who joins our Counter-Strike roster effective immediately.

With the recent departure of Reegan “ReegaN” Ward, Viperio has been seeking a suitable replacement to fill the gap in the roster. Markus, who previously was a part of Kappa Bar and the Prodigies SE, has taken to the role well; most recently boasting a 1.13 rating in Viperio’s 2-0 victory versus ENCE Academy in the CCT Season 2 Europe 1 Closed Qualifier.

This marks another young signing for the Viperio roster which now has a total average player age of only 20.5. When asked about joining Viperio, Markus said:

“I am excited that I’ve joined Viperio, I feel like we have very good chemistry in the team, and everybody is hard working and motivated.”

We reached out to Viperio’s Counter Strike Team Coach Daniel “Papp” Hart for comment on the recent signing:

“I’m really excited to be welcoming Markus into the team. In the short time we have been playing with Markus, he has shown great ability and understanding of the game and importantly, shown the desire to play and compete at the highest levels”.
