After a long regular season, Viperio’s playoff run ends after a 2-1 defeat to Lucent Esports (Ex-Hyve) in the lower bracket grand finals.
Christopher Sword, Managing Director of Viperio, spoke about the loss. He stated that while it was disappointing to not earn a spot in the UKEL Grand Final, the team played well and put up a good showing. The result means that Viperio finish the UKEL Season 4 in 3rd place.
Christopher was very happy with the overall result, praising the 10 players and staff for their efforts this season. Chris stated:
“We demonstrated that we could beat any team within this league… we could beat any opponent put in front of us.”
Placing 3rd means that Viperio secured a spot in the UKLC relegation tournament later this month, where Viperio will play their first game against Bulldog Esports, the team who stopped Viperio promoting into the UKLC in Summer 2020.
