After going 5W-1L in the first six games of the UKI Nationals Premier Summer 2021 Regular Season, Viperio 86 face R6S European League side 🇬🇧 Cowana Gaming in their final UKIN group stage match.
Cowana, who are also 5W-1L, have been regarded as the other top 2 team all season, along with their fellow European League side 🇬🇧 Natus Vincere. Going into tonight, the winner of Viperio 86 vs. Cowana will secure that top two finish, and a guaranteed spot in the summer season finals.
Christopher Sword, Viperio Founder, believes that Viperio 86 have less at stake here than Cowana:
“The pressure is all on Cowana to perform. Viperio 86 are the underdogs with a fighting chance at an upset.”
The team at Cowana themselves hold the Viperio 86 side quite highly in their perceptions of teams in the League, with Cowana Head Coach 🇳🇴 Murat “Mrofficer88” Motevalli believing Viperio 86 have what it takes to be a future team in the European League, like Cowana and Navi:
“I can even go as far as saying if they can keep their cool and hard work mentality, and the good environment they have, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re qualifying for the next EU League spot.”
