Viperio’s Counter-Strike roster is undergoing a roster change as Viperio newbie Markus “upE” is transferred to Alliance effective immediately.
Markus joined Viperio in April 2024 after successful stints with Kappa Bar and Prodigies SE, where Viperio staff identified him as a hot up-and-coming prospect.
Towards the end of the player break, Alliance staff members contacted Viperio about possibly acquiring Markus. After a swift trial and negotiation, Viperio and Alliance were able to come to an agreement where Markus was bought out of his contract for an undisclosed fee.
Viperio would like to thank Alliance staff for being easy to work with, and we look forwards to potentially doing business with them in the future.
We asked Markus about his (brief) time at Viperio, where he stated:
”“Thanks for my short time in Viperio, I’ve enjoyed being a part of this team. I wish the organisation and the players good luck in the future.”

Following Markus “upE” Johansson’s sale, Viperio Counter-Strike Coach Daniel Hart commented:
”“I would like to thank Markus for his dedication and professionalism in the short time that he has been with us. He has a great attitude, and I’m confident he will be a great asset for his new team. We all wish him the best in his future.”

Moving forwards, Viperio are still on the lookout for the next up-and-coming star as our roster navigates through EU Tier 2 & 3 competitions. We asked Daniel to elaborate on his next steps of finding a replacement:
“As can be expected, the search for Markus’ replacement is already underway. With the season already upon us, we look to fill the position as soon as possible. We are on the lookout for an experienced anchor player with HLTV and ESEA experience. Anyone who feels they would be a good fit can reach out to me directly on Twitter or via Steam.”
This is the third transfer for Viperio Counter-Strike in the last eight months, a testament to Viperio’s ability to find up-and-coming stars. We persistently strive to be a place where players can join, develop, and move on to bigger opportunities.
Viperio’s next fixture will be on Sunday the 24th of July, against NAVI Junior.
