On Thursday 4th February, Viperio take on Mythos gaming for the 4th time in UKEL history, in one of the league’s longest running matchups. Like Viperio, Mythos are currently 2W-2L going into Week Three of the UKEL regular split. We take a closer look at our opponents historical performance.

Starting line-up

Top: ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง “XtraCheeky
Jungle: ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Henry “Dunlosi” Dunne
Mid: ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Jake “Monrobbo” Obbis
ADC: ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง “Agentau
Support: ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง “Arcurath

A completely fresh roster for the 2021 season, Mythos have retained none of their players from their Summer 2020 starting line-up. The move will likely come after the organisation aims to push past the 5th/6th placings it has consistantly achieved in past seasons. The roster is the only line-up which has no imports in the starting 5.

Previous Seasons

Mythos are the only other organisation alongside Viperio who have competed in all four seasons of the UKEL since its inaugural split in Summer 2019. Mythos have consistently finished mid table with the following results:

UKEL Summer 2019: 5th Place Regular Season
UKEL Spring 2020: 6th Place Regular Season, 6th Place Playoffs
UKEL Summer 2020: 5th Place Regular Season

When considering historical performance directly against Viperio, Viperio is currently winning, with a 2W-1L record against the organisation across all UKEL competition since 2019.

Season 4 Performance

Mythos are currently 2nd-6th in the UKEL Standings as of the start of Week Three, with a 2W-2L record in the regular season. Their individual results are as follows:

Game #1: Mythos (Win) vs. Munster Rugby Gaming (Loss)
Game #2: LDN UTD (Win) vs. Mythos (Loss)
Game #3: NerdRage (Loss) vs. Mythos (Win)
Game #4: Mythos (Loss) vs. Lucendi (Win)

Key Takeaways

  1. Viperio currently lead in direct match-up wins versus the Mythos side in UKEL regular seasons, 2W-1L.
  2. Mythos have consistently finished in the bottom half of the league standings, finishing between 5th & 6th across their past 3 seasons. While it’s still early in the regular split, a 2W-2L record could easily translate into a middle finish once again.
  3. In a recent article, Viperio League of Legends manager Alan Reid highlighted Mythos as a team which looked strong, and one which could give Viperio a hard time. However it’s worth noting that Viperio we’re 0W-2L at the time of that article.
